From the Bride's Point of View
It was October 24, 2005 and Senior Night for the girls volleyball team where George is the Assistant Coach. I had gotten out of work late at Old Navy, looking as scrubby as possible. As the junior varsity game is going on, my family starts coming into the gym like a fricking parade. Before you know it, the JV game was over and it was time for the presentation of the seniors.

George asked me to come over and help, as I had done the previous year, and asked my cousin Kimberlee to tape the "event" for him. The seniors are announced and the gifts are given. The coaches are recognized for their support and guidance. I was recognized for my fundraising efforts for the team, and then it happens.

George takes the microphone and starts talking about how almost 7 years ago in this very gym, someone very close to him asked him an innocent question. Seven years later, he would like to ask that special person a very innocent question, "Stefanie Lempke, will you marry me?" Through the tears and playing a game of peek-a-boo, I managed to get out a "YES!!!"
